Does it come assembled? If not, is it difficult to put together?

The shower chair is tool-free assembly. It does not come assembled but it is very easy to put together.

Is the height of the chair adjustable?

Absolutely!

What is the shower chair's weight capacity?

The weight limit is 250 pounds, however, we've found that the chair has been capable of supporting up to 300 pounds.

Will this chair fit inside a standard tub with shower curtain?

Yes. It will fit.

How high can the seat be adjusted off the ground?

The seat height can be adjusted from about 14.5"-21".

The video above is an instructional assembly video that will assist in properly putting together your Vaunn Medical Shower Chair Assembly. This product is ideal for those who have mobility issues, such as handicapped and disabled individuals, or anyone with physical limitations or injuries. Using this product will ensure a comfortable showering experience while being seated comfortably. Upon opening the package that contains the product, you will receive a number of items that will be used in the assembly process. You will receive the following components:

2x Back Brace

1x Backrest

Leg Section A – Leg section with concave top

Leg Section B- Leg Section with Concave Bottom

4x Leg Extensions

5x Short screw knobs

4x Long screw knobs

9x Curved washers

Step 1: Place Leg Section B on groove of the shower seat. The concave should be facing upwards.

Step 2: Place Leg Section A on Top. The concave should be facing down.

Step 3: Place Curved Washer on the middle screw hole. Insert the short screw knob. Do not tighten the screws completely.

Step 4: Push the gold pin to insert the leg extensions to desired height. Repeat this step for the rest of the legs.

Step 5: Align the screw holes of Back Brace Bar on Leg Sections. (There are select screw holes that can be used to adjust back support)

Step 6: Insert the curved washers and Long Screw Knobs through Screw Holes. Be careful not to overtighten each screw.

Step 7: Stand chair upright. Attach the backrest to back brace bars. Insert the washer and Short Screws through the Screw Holes. Tighten all Screw Knobs.

NOTE: PERIODICALLY CHECK TO ENSURE SCREW KNOBS ARE TIGHTENED AS LOOSENING MAY OCCUR OVERTIME

Defective/ruff seat

The seat is so ruff on my butt, that I have to cover the seat with a towel. If you would just send a non ruff seat, I would be very happy. If not, please forward a new complete chair, ans I'll send the defective one back. Thanks!! Gordy

Do not buy - dangerous

I bought this chair to replace my husband's old chair which we had for several years. It says weight limit 250 pounds. My husband is 207 pounds. We immediately noticed that this chair tended to tilt as he shifted his body to wash himself. We lowered the height a bit to see if that helped but it did not. After 3 weeks of use, the legs started to spread unevenly apart. From side to side the front legs are now 18 inches apart and the back legs are 16 and a half inches apart - a difference of 1 and a half inches. Shockingly, the front to back measurement of the legs on the right side is 16 and a quarter inches apart while the left front to back has collapsed to 21 and a half inches apart - a difference of more than 5 inches. The chair is unstable and the legs may continue to collapse further. I tried to register this chair online when we received it but it did not seem to go through. Perhaps there offices are not working due to the pandemic. It was received on July 7 and put into service on July 10. It has only been used for less than 4 weeks.

WARNING. Inadequate support of chair back.

Chair otherwise well-designed: light, rust-free, and easy, tool-free assembly as advertised. However, 220# bather leaning on back bent and broke aluminum tubes supporting chair back. Severe injury could have resulted. Do not buy until chair re-designed to strengthen back support or do not attach back and use only as bathing stool.
